Cool Cakes

2 more cakes...

The first was a joint effort. A friend, Kay, and I worked on it together. It was for an author who was visiting Teresa's school, Jean Chaffee. She wrote about the animals at the Fresno zoo.

This one was for Ty's birthday. He is the sack boy from Little Big World, a PS3 game :)

Teresa and cousin Luke

Teresa finally got to hold her new cousin Luke. Poor girl had been sick for over a week, and was dying to hold him.

2 cakes

Two cakes I made this weekend

This was for a friends daughter

This was for Serina. It's a chocolate cake with Peanut Butter frosting and crushed Reeses Peanut Butter cups

I baked the cake and made all the frosting during the week. So I just assembled them yesterday

Field Trip

Teresa went on her 5th grade field trip to Riley's farm yesterday. They left at 6am and she returned after 6pm. They gave the kids an idea of what it was like during the American Revolution. With work stations, money, clothing, food and a re-enactment.
This is a little skit they did
They made articles using a printing press

This guy was training them to be militia

This is the group, there were a few different schools there

Teresa enjoyed it, despite the fact that she got sick. Poor kid started feeling bad and had to go lay down in one of the mom's cars. They ended up letting her ride with them, which was good because they had to stop twice for her to puke. I told her it's a field trip she won't easily forget.

Pew! Pew!

It's a gun, of course, what else could it be

Morbid Dr. Suess

This made me laugh...

I was reading "Mr. Brown can Moo! Can You?" to Nathan last night and we get to the last page and he has a little giggle and said "Arm shot off mom"

Sure enough, that poor man's arm has been "shot off"

My Super Heroes

Last friday was Super Hero day at Teresa's school. She wasn't going to dress up because we didn't have anything super hero for her. But I thought maybe we could come up with something.
She chose a purpose for her hero and we created a logo we pinned to her shirt and cape - which was just some random fabric I had. Nathan didn't want to be left out so he is wearing Teresa's little read riding hood cape with the hood tucked in. He wanted a black heart on his back, so here they are, my little super heroes

Teresa was Enviro Girl

Teresa was calling Nathan her faithful side-kick, Inkheart (she just finished reading Inkspell, the sequel to Inkheart
