Picture Update

3 Unicorns

Have you ever heard of Trio's? They're blocks made by Fisher Price. Nathan has had them for a few years, and he has lots of them. In the last month or so he has become borderline obsessed about them. Every single day he is playing with those blocks. He builds all sorts of things. Mostly we see very intricate and impressive guns. Some even shoot ice cream. But you name it he's built it. Last night he made a mask. Sometimes he makes people, or ships. I took a few pictures of his creations last week. I really love to see the different things he creates.

A Baby Dragon for his sister

The other day I noticed
Nathan's backpack was really heavy...
Woodchips from the playground - lots of them

Aren't we cute! Yup, we both have braces - for now. Teresa
should be getting hers off in about 5 months. I will have them
for 2 years. I had some serious jaw pain caused by my bite.
So it's time ot fix that bite.

Next is a school project Teresa and her friends did. They are reading "To Kill a Mockingbird". The assignment was to make a video of a few scenes. They had a good time. It's over 6 minutes, so don't feel like you have to watch it all. They worked so hard, I thought I'd share.

My week in review...

I love weeks where I have a few creative projects to do. And it helps when they are for other people, because then, they get done. The week started out bad, Nathan had strep throat and so Monday was spent sitting with him. But after some antibiotics and a ton of sleep, he was almost back to himself Tues, but not ready to go to school. So he helped a little with Luke's pinata. He was having an Angry birds party with lots of fun things angry bird themed. Michelle asked if I could make a pig pinata. It was a lot of fun to make!

They had some really fun stuff at the party, I didn't get any pictures, I wasn't feeling great. But I would check Michelle's blog in the next few days, it will be worth the visit.

I also had a cake I was making for a friend of a friends little boy. He wanted batman. Luckily it was a pretty easy design, and needed early Sat. morning.

Next is a cake for my dad, who's birthday was the 16th. I had this great plan, and it just didn't work out. But it is a delicious banana cake with cream cheese frosting.

Swimming lessons

Nathan was so excited to get back into swimming in January. He's doing a great job! (On a funny note, he goes around humming this song - Eye of the tiger)

He's learning to swim freestyle and side breath

Tooth Fairy Pillow

Nathan and I made this adorable tooth pillow we found here (scroll down). We just used felt and made the little guy smaller.

Another one bites the dust...

Nathan almost ate his tooth at lunch today as it fell out. That's number 2, hopefully the top teeth will wait awhile. They're just a little loose.

Who are the people in your neighborhood?

Nathan's class created a neighborhood today. Each student was assigned a building. Nathan's was the school.

After we took a tour the kids got to play with hot wheels on the roads

Pajama Day
(In case you missed them on Facebook)

Yesterday was also High School Orientation. She said it was AWESOME! I guess they really hyped the kids for High School. I'm glad, she's been looking forward to it, but now she has more to look forward to.
