While we wait

This is what we do while we wait for Teresa and Hannah to get out of school.

Playing dead

Here he is playing with the coins(don't tell him, but he's learning from the games we play with the coins) He also found my emergency flashlight and it quickly became a plane.

Such a silly boy!

(NO, he doesn't sit in the front seat while we drive. We're just parked at school and he climbs in the front and buckles)

The first day of school...

And not just any first day of school. The first day of Jr High!!! Teresa was excited this morning. She only knew she had P.E. first, the rest of her schedule would be given to her in first period. She wanted me to walk her there and help her find her first class, but since Hannah was with us, I knew they would be fine together. So Nathan and I dropped them off at the curb this morning. I hope she's having a fantastic day!

Notice: Nathan has a backpack too. He thought he was going to ride his scooter to school. As we headed out of the neighborhood, past the elementary school, he asked why we were going that way.

Carpenteria Beach

I know, how many times are we going to go to the beach? Just one more time(in 2 weeks)
This was a great beach, and really relaxing for me.

It was a beautiful day at the beach, a little crowded, but not so bad we didn't have a great time

First thing Teresa and Hannah made a little creation. Luke loved the sand

Nice enough to go for a swim. They found a dead jelly fish, Teresa and Hannah saw a live one and decided they were done swimming :)

The boys had so much fun together

Luke is such a funny boy
Hannah and Teresa(I didn't get any great shots of them) The above picture of Luke on his belly, he is mimicing the girls
Michelle posted pictures on her site too.

Party!

Teresa and Nathan were invited to Hannah's party, and Nathan was SO excited.
Here are a few pictures

Hannah has two of those small horses, they call them dogs, but I don't know.

A picture of Nathan with all the girls from the party

Here the cake I did for her birthday. I have more pictures on my cake blog

Paper Mache Fun!

Teresa bought a How to paper mache book. The book shows you how to make some really, really cool monsters(which she plans to make) but I thought we should start small and learn a little first. So we found some small balloons to use as our base, added a little water to some flour, striped newspaper and went to town.

Nathan loved being able to join in the fun. We did this part a couple weeks ago

Today we got around to finishing them...

Teresa is making a little fat cat and Nathan is making a penguin

Here they are with their adorable little creations

So cute!

Bowling with the girls

Michelle had a great idea for the girls to go bowling. It was perfect, Teresa had never been, and we'd been wanting to get out. The four of us had a great time! (then a delicious lunch after)
Here are a couple photos.
I bet you can't guess which shoe is the 12 year olds
We had lots of fun!

Swim little fishy!

I took bits and pieces of Nathan's lesson today and made a video for your viewing pleasure :)
I believe he has had 11 lessons. He has come a long way from day one, terrified and screaming, 6 weeks ago.

I've really liked his swimming class. It's the same place he was taking gym class(American Kids). We switched over for this 8 week session to take swim. The classes are unlimited, I just have to call ahead, so we try and go 2-3 times a week. Plus, the pool is indoors, so no sunscreen fights and it's salt water, not chlorine.
