Fun at the Park

I took Nathan to the park to get some pictures of him...

Monster fun!

Saturday night we had some family fun at the Monster mini golf here in town.

It was a little busy, but we didn't mind, we skipped a few holes to get ahead of the crowd and did them last ;) We topped off our night with some, oh so tasty, Daddy O's frozen yogurt. Mmmm!

I is for Insect!

We went to Insect Lore today. The boys loved all the bugs

Nathan was able to hold a walking stick bug. He thought it was pretty cool.

He got a little nervous when it went from his hand to his shirt

But as you can see, he was fine with it after a bit - until it came up closer and touched his face, that ended the fun for him. The other photo has some nasty spiders and a very venomous centipede.

Grandparents day

It was grandparent's day yesterday. I asked Teresa what she wanted to do, and she immediately responded with - make them a meal! So she did. She made meatloaf, homemade bread and salad (the good kind with all the yummy fixings)

Here she is making the bread, I was supposed to get a picture of her forming the loaves, but I forgot.

Nathan made dessert - Banana Cream Pie. He was so excited to be slicing the bananas, then stirring the bananas in the pudding


This was one of our fun things for today. After we talked about the letter G, made a paper bag puppet giraffe and practiced writing, oh and danced. He thinks it's hilarious to pretend he's been turned into paper. So funny! It's been a fun day, and it's not over yet.

In memory of

To the beach!

We went to Goleta beach last Wednesday with the Hansen side. Jen and her family were here from Virginia. California was just one of their many stops. It was so good to see them. We hadn't met each others youngest. The kids had such a great time hanging out.

Krystal rode with us to the beach, her and Nathan fell asleep on Teresa - so cute!

It was a little foggy and cold, but the fog cleared up and none of the kids complained about it being cold. They were having too much fun.

The "sand" was more like dirt at this beach. Nathan was SO dirty. Before we left the kids gathered a huge pile of seaweed

The beach wasn't the greatest beach, but the kids didn't care. They had such a great time! It was hard to say goodbye, but I don't think we will soon forget the fun we had.
