Paper Mache Fun!

Teresa bought a How to paper mache book. The book shows you how to make some really, really cool monsters(which she plans to make) but I thought we should start small and learn a little first. So we found some small balloons to use as our base, added a little water to some flour, striped newspaper and went to town.

Nathan loved being able to join in the fun. We did this part a couple weeks ago

Today we got around to finishing them...

Teresa is making a little fat cat and Nathan is making a penguin

Here they are with their adorable little creations

So cute!

Wow, what a coincidence. I was prowling around the internet and this blog came up. It mentioned a paper mache book which happens to be mine! Thank you for the plug. And your critters are magnificent. What a great job! Congratulations. If you ever do paper mache again and have questions, just visit me at my site (GourmetPaperMache.com) and I'd be happy to try to help.
Take care
