Can you guess what I got for Mother's Day? I LOVE IT!!!
I've worked really hard on our backyard it has a long way to go before it's done, but I'm happy with what I have right now. Being able to go out in the back and enjoy the weather is WONDERFUL!

It begins...

Teresa has 12 days of school left and 1/2 of those days are fun days. Today was the first of many end of year activities. First she had her choir concert dress rehearsal. They put the concert on for the school. Tonight they'll do it for the parents. They did School House Rock. A teacher so graciously took on the responsibility to provide a musical outlet for the kids, since they couldn't afford to keep the choir teacher. They did a good job, and Teresa had a good time. She's looking forward to having choir again next year in Junior High, the fun thing is, it's the same teacher she had last year. Something familiar in an unfamiliar school :)

Right after that the 6th graders had their International Food Festival. They just completed their country reports and were asked to bring in a dish from their country. They had a lot of food there, Teresa said she was full by the time she was done. Teresa had Scotland, so we made some shortbread (so easy, and SO yummy!)

Here they are setting up

T-Ball

Nathan started T-ball yesterday. We had a lot of fun. He's been sick most of the week so he got tired fast, but still had a good time. Teresa got some greats shots. His team is the Angels, they were practicing with the Blue Jays. I think there were 4 teams of 3 year olds out there. They were pretty cute.

Nathan is showing us his T-ball hat and shirt

A Little Update

Teresa did a country report on Scotland. She had to have a written report, a 3-D poster and give an oral report. She said her poster was one of the best and her oral presentation went great. Her teacher told me she was really cute about the family heritage part.

Here she is with her poster - and her brother

Here are both of the kids standing next to their sunflowers

And then some silly pictures they took of each other

Cousins

We had the opportunity to visit with most of Jonathan's family over the weekend. It was really nice to see Shane and Brooke, it had been a long time. Here is a picture of all the kids.

The last ones

Teresa lost her last two baby teeth yesterday. I know, maybe a silly moment to document. But it's just another 'last thing', meaning my little girl is growing up and fast. I've been to junior high orientation, she goes on Monday to tour campus and student orientation. She has 18 days left of 6th grade, (with 9 end of school events). Don't get me wrong, we are all looking forward to a new expereince in Junior High. It's important to look forward with excitement.

She's growing into a beautiful (and tall) young lady, and I'm so glad I get to watch her and be a part of her life. (Yesterday she measured 5 feet 1in)

Fun crafts

Last Saturday we went to Home Depot to make these cute little planters.

When we got home, the kids painted them. Aren't they cute!

Here they are with flowers in them
